Clemens Gutjahr is a composer for film, games, and theater.
In 2025, he was awarded the Peer Raben Music Award for his "precise, clever and courageous work" on the short film Detlev by director Ferdinand Ehrhardt.
He also composed the scores for two Annie Award Nominees and semifinalists at the Student Academy Awards 2025: polliwog by Julia Skala — also longlisted for a student BAFTA — and The Undying Pain of Existence by Oscar Jacobson.
With the feature documentary Moria Six by director Jennifer Malmann, his music premiered in German cinemas in 2025.
The short film documentary Red Ear by Paul Drey was publish by New York Times open doc in 2023.
In addition to numerous short films, some of which have been broadcast on German television networks such as ARTE and SWR, Clemens is currently working on an upcoming video game "Frieda is Changing" and regularly collaborates on theater productions with director Maja Delinić.
Clemens Gutjahr began his musical journey as a jazz pianist, releasing two albums with his trio. Exploration and improvisation remain at the heart of his creative process.
